Psalms; Words and Music of Comfort
No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. (Deuteronomy 30:14)
The following scripture from God’s WORD will fill your heart with encouragement. It will strengthen you, renew your mind, and bring you victory through any attack the Enemy unleashes against you. It will also help you to fight your sinful nature. However if you want these words to impact your life and invade your circumstances, you must in faith read and speak them aloud as a prayerful declaration that you are standing on God’s promises. Then your mouth will become a weapon to defeat fear, disappointment, hopelessness and sorrow. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) Commit these verses to memory and speak them aloud whenever your mind is troubled. Again, turn you mouth into a divine weapon. Begin to pray God’s Word when the Enemy tries to defeat you. Speak God’s Word when you feel like your heart is breaking or even when you’re praising God. Your brain is like a computer and your tongue is the keyboard for reprogramming you mind. You use God’s WORD as the new programming. But mark this; it’s extremely important that you are diligent in doing this. Remember, God will help you do this. If your law [your WORD] had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction. (Psalms 119:92) Beneath each passage is a suggestion on how to pray God’s words. Faith simple defined is agreeing with God. In other words, saying what God says about you and your circumstances. You need to line up your thought and prayer life with what God says to you and about you. Scientists agree that the average person needs at least 3 weeks to form a good habit. So, keep at this and soon you will discover that your mind will become peaceful and hope will rise up in your heart.
